Our 3 eco-friendly Kingfisher Cottages, open since December 2019, are situated 1km down the valley from the main farm and are built using natural building techniques and materials. Find out more about what makes them so eco-friendly on our About Us page.

The Malachite Kingfisher cottage is a renovated 150+ year-old stone self-catering cottage with a whole lot of charm and character, adjacent to the main farmhouse on Two Dam Sustainable.

Ideal for a couple wanting to get away for a romantic break or even a young family, as there are two small sleeper couches in the lounge for the young ones.

  • Bathroom with shower and separate dry composting toilet

  • Fully equipped kitchen with full sized electric fridge and gas oven and stove + tea & coffee

  • Open plan kitchen and lounge with a cosy fire place

  • Verandah with build-in braai, dining area and reclining chairs overlooking the valley

  • Braai utensils, fire lighter and matches/lighters are supplied.

  • Firewood can be bought on site (it is a scarce commodity though, so we would like to encourage you to bring your own)

  • NEW! Pied and Giant Kingfisher Cottages now have their own mountain spring water filled Wood-fired Hot Tub

  • Giant Kingfisher Cottage is wheelchair accessible (but please note that the Hot Tub is not)

  • Free Wi-Fi, with NO impact of load-shedding, with multi-function plugs to charge any device, make these ideal for a workcation
