Fishing is available to day visitors (fee applies) and overnight guests.

The two farm dams offer fishing, depending on season and rainfall.
Fish to be caught include:

Rainbow trout (charged per kg – typically caught best in the colder months)

Grass carp (Strictly Catch & Release – they are specially introduced sterilized exotic fish, which help in keeping unwanted aquatic plant growth to a minimum)

Mozambique tilapia (C&R- typically caught mostly in summer)

Cape Kurper (C&R) is a small indigenous fish

Other fish found in the streams and rock pools are Cape Galaxis and Breede River Redfin

Brown Trout to be stocked in the late winter of 2022

Fly-fishing Lessons
For inquisitive novices or rusty anglers alike, Marco will happily give you a one on one introductory lesson in fly fishing and casting.
Lessons are a minimum of 1 hour and cost R200/hr.
Rod Hire
A variety of rods, including fly and spinning rods, as well as flies or spinners are available for hire at a fee of R150/day.
Lost or damaged tackle will be charged extra.
